Common questions.
How long does a tuning take?
Most tunings take 60–90 minutes. If your piano needs a pitch raise (we'll tell you on arrival), plan on closer to 2 hours.
How often should a piano be tuned?
Twice a year is the gold standard - once after the heating season and once after the humidity season. Once a year is acceptable for casual use, but coastal homes drift fast.
What is a pitch raise and why might I need one?
If your piano hasn't been tuned in over a year, the strings drop below A440. We have to bring them back up in stages so they hold - that's a pitch raise. Standard add-on is $40 and we'll always confirm before doing it.
Do you tune on weekends?
Yes - limited Saturday slots, usually 10–2. Book online to see live availability or call.
What towns do you service?
The whole South Shore: Hanover, Hingham, Norwell, Scituate, Cohasset, Marshfield, Duxbury, Pembroke, and Plymouth. A small travel surcharge applies to the more distant towns - you'll see the total before you book.
